Last Christmas we bought Picassa flatware for my mother as a Christmas gift. It was purchase through a restaurant supply store and we were told that the superior finish, designed to stand up to commercial use would ensure the finished remained in excellent condition for years. When I visited my mother this Christmas I was really upset to see the staining and rubbing that has marred the finish. It apparently started right away and was most noticeable on the knives. Every piece is discoloured with colour flashing that reminds me of oil slicks floating on water or metal that has been heated. The cutlery is washed in a home dishwasher, hot water, regular home use dishwasher soap. The rub marks on a number of the pieces are very noticeable on the high shine finish but the cutlery might be useable if we could remove the coloured marks on it. Any advice appreciated.
